Pickstock Telford is looking for Experienced Butchers to join our fast-growing team. We’re a key player in the UK and international beef supply chain, supplying high-quality British beef to retailers, wholesalers, and food service professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern facility, develop specialist skills, and be part of a dedicated team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Accurately de-bone and trim beef products in line with customer and company specifications, while optimising yield and reducing waste.
Break down beef cuts to meet specific order requirements with precision and consistency.
Develop a thorough knowledge of all beef carcass cuts to support efficient processing.
Perform all tasks in full compliance with company policies, especially those relating to health and safety and food safety.
Maintain strict adherence to all standards relating to quality, health & safety, animal welfare, hygiene, food safety, ethical practices, product labelling, and handling procedures.
Follow established traceability protocols to ensure product identification and labelling accuracy at all times.
Supporting team efficiency through job rotation and flexible duties
Opportunity to develop your skills across 6 butchery levels with full training provided

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Skilled in knife handling, for skilled roles, or ready to learn and grow into the role through hands-on training.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in knife handling
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety and quality control
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction


Desirable:

  • Advanced trimming and de-boning techniques
  • Experience working with animal carcasses
